Clarksburg High School is a new MCPS, opening in 2006. In addition to advanced placement and honors programs, there is a program called the Advanced Placement Power Scholars. The APPS Program is designed as a four year course of study through which students follow a comprehensive curriculum combining honors level, advanced placement, and/or dual college enrollment course work. Students accepted into the program will follow a rigorous course of study designed to challenge the highly motivated learner.
The feeder schools for Clarksburg High School are Martin Luther King, Jr., Neelsville and Rocky Hill Middle Schools, and the following elementary schools:
Cedar Grove, Clarksburg, Daly, Fox Chapel, William B. Gibbs, Jr., and Little Bennett.
