The fairly new neighborhood shopping area of The Shops at Seneca Meadows in Germantown is booming! Located at Seneca Meadows Parkway and Observation Drive just off Father Hurley Boulevard, the 1 million square foot area of The Shops at Seneca Meadows is a mixed used center, incorporating retail, restaurants and office space. It is larger than the nearby 800,000 square foot Milestone development.
Wegmans, the only one in Montgomery County, was one of the first shops to sign on, anchoring the project, with 200,000 square feet of space. There are three other buildings, which includes restaurants Café Rio, La Tagliatella, Famous Dave’s, Smashburger and Panera Bread. A few of the stores offer beauty services such as Bubbles Hair Salon and a nail salon. Other retail shops include a mattress store, flooring, spirits and frozen yogurt. The Little Gym, Bank of America, an optician and a dry cleaner are some of the other businesses located in the center. The office space will be located on the second floor of one of the buildings. The Shops at Seneca Meadows was set up for both in-line space and pad sites.
During this later phase of the development, Seneca Meadows Parkway and other streets will be designed as an urban, walkable destination.
Access into The Shops at Seneca Meadows are located at Observation Drive and Seneca Meadows Parkway, which can be accessed from both Rt. 118 and Father Hurley Blvd.
